The site is run by one person. Email is the only contact channel: [email protected].
What you can write about
- A game that froze, a move the board refused, or an online match that did not start or did not finish.
- A rule that seems wrong in this edition.
- A mistake in one of the articles, such as a wrong move or an unclear explanation.
- A privacy question or a request to remove data (see the privacy page for what is stored).
- Anything about advertising on the site.
What to include
A short note is fine, but these details make a problem much easier to find:
- The page address (for example https://chessplayonline.com/ or the article URL).
- Your browser and device, for example "Chrome on Android" or "Safari on an iPhone".
- Whether you were playing the computer or online, and at which difficulty.
- For a game problem, the moves leading up to it. You can copy them from the notation panel next to the board.
- For an article mistake, the sentence or move in question.
Please do not send passwords, sign-in codes or the online-session token stored by your browser. None of them are needed.
What to expect
Messages are read by the operator personally. Because it is a one-person site, there is no fixed response time, and not every message can get a detailed reply. Bug reports and corrections are the priority. When an article is corrected, its "Updated" date changes.
For how the game works, start with the rules guide and the FAQ.
